Our farmer in South America has created this variety by using only the reddest of seeds from the rose hip, selected from among the other yellow and gold seeds, due their high concentration of lycopene, a powerful antioxidant pigment found primarily in tomatoes, watermelon, and red fruits.

Medicinal Benefits:  According to the article “The Health Benefits of Lycopene” published on the WebMD site  (October 14, 2024), anti-oxidants are molecules that fight free radicals, which cause cell damage linked to a wide array of health conditions including cancer,  diabetes and heart disease.  By stabilizing these free radicals, scientists believe that lycopene may reduce the risk of developing chronic illnesses.  Studies have shown that it is highly beneficial for heart health by improving blood pressure and reducing cholesterol, and it supports prostate health, with studies linking high consumption to lower cancer risks. Additionally, it protects skin against UV damage. https://www.webmd.com/diet/health-benefits-lycopene
