Himalayan Soti Essential Oil
from $17.40

Pure Himalayan Soti Essential Oil (Essence)
'The magic mystical clarity of high mountain air'

Family: Gramineae
Latin name: Cymbopogon sp.
Origin: Nepal
Farming Method: Wild Crafted
Plant Parts: Flowering Tops
Process: Steam Distilled

Distilled from the flowering tops of wild, Nepalese lemongrass growing in the  country's high-altitude areas, Himalayan Soti offers the "magic mystical clarity of high mountain air" to clear stagnant energy. This plant is distilled in the "old way"...the flowering tops instead of just the stems and leaves...because the non-commercial, artisan distillers say that the flowering tops carry the plant's "breath" or "spirit".  This aligns beautifully with this special  oil's sacred purifying properties.

Medicinal Benefits: Acts as a natural tonic for mental and emotional exhaustion and provides respiratory relief for symptoms of asthma and coughs.

Emotional & Spiritual: Known as a "Green Ray Healer," it is used for aura cleansing and strengthening, helping to restore balance during times of intense stress or burnout.

Historical Significance: In Nepalese tradition, it is a sacred purifier burned in temples and homes to drive away illness and negative energy.

General Usage Guidelines: Unlocking Nature's Potential

Please note: Since WOTE only offers pure, single, undiluted essential oils, unlike the vast majority of companies out there, they can be considerably more potent than the average person is used to.   Also, we have had several questions from new customers about usage, so we will provide some general guidelines (see below) and also touch on usage, where appropriate, in each description.  These guidelines and techniques are covered in depth in our Level 1 Medicinal Aromatherapy classes, but we are now reaching a larger audience, so we want to be responsive to that.  Please contact me directly if you are interested in experiencing the Level 1 Course!

General Guidelines:  We generally do not recommend taking essential oils internally, unless there is a very specific reason. Actually, the most effective therapeutic mode of use is topically, over the area of concern (e.g., over the stomach, if digestive issues occur).  A few drops in a bottle of water is fine, but normally, we advise topical application, going to the soles of the feet if an essence is hot (temperature-wise) or skin sensitive/photo-sensitive.
A good rule of thumb for an average adult is 5-7 drops of an oil; for children over 12, 3–4 drops; below 12, 1-2 drops on the soles of the feet.  Remember, the body only absorbs/utilizes about 50%, on average, of the oil applied (just as when you take a vitamin, you do not actually receive 100% of its total benefit, but actually 50-75%+ depending upon a number of factors, e.g., dietary fat, molecular structure).
Please do not hesitate to consult with me if you have questions about application or usage.  We are happy to give product information, but if a health situation is complicated or serious, please schedule a personal consultation.
