Honey Myrtle calms the nerves and uplifts the spirits.  We are blessed to have this artisan oil produced by a lovely family in Australia.  They have literally put Honey Myrtle "on the map" in aromatherapy, making it much better known today than it was 10 years ago through their efforts to educate the aromatherapy community on the wonderful healing properties of this beautiful oil. Indigenous Australians used Honey Myrtle as an "all around" natural medicine, and in some spiritual practices, she is used to cleanse and purify sacred spaces.

General Usage Guidelines: Unlocking Nature's Potential

Please note: Since WOTE only offers pure, single, undiluted essential oils, unlike the vast majority of companies out there, they can be considerably more potent than the average person is used to.   Also, we have had several questions from new customers about usage, so we will provide some general guidelines (see below) and also touch on usage, where appropriate, in each description.  These guidelines and techniques are covered in depth in our Level 1 Medicinal Aromatherapy classes, but we are now reaching a larger audience, so we want to be responsive to that.  Please contact me directly if you are interested in experiencing the Level 1 Course!

General Guidelines:  We generally do not recommend taking essential oils internally, unless there is a very specific reason. Actually, the most effective therapeutic mode of use is topically, over the area of concern (e.g., over the stomach, if digestive issues occur).  A few drops in a bottle of water is fine, but normally, we advise topical application, going to the soles of the feet if an essence is hot (temperature-wise) or skin sensitive/photo-sensitive.
A good rule of thumb for an average adult is 5-7 drops of an oil; for children over 12, 3–4 drops; below 12, 1-2 drops on the soles of the feet.  Remember, the body only absorbs/utilizes about 50%, on average, of the oil applied (just as when you take a vitamin, you do not actually receive 100% of its total benefit, but actually 50-75%+ depending upon a number of factors, e.g., dietary fat, molecular structure).
Please do not hesitate to consult with me if you have questions about application or usage.  We are happy to give product information, but if a health situation is complicated or serious, please schedule a personal consultation.
